FBM Foundation supports families affected by typhoons in Calimpit, Bulacan

(Malta).- On August 18, 2023, FBM Foundation carried out a relief operation to provide support to affected families under the "FBM Tulong sa Pagsulong" initiative. To help communities coping with the consequences of natural disasters, the organization's efforts included the distribution of 2,000 food aid packages and 2,000 non-food aid packages, tailored to meet the immediate needs of affected families.

brgy. San Miguel, Calumpit, Bulacan, faced the terrible aftermath of typhoons Egay and Falcon, which affected more than 2,000 families in the region. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the FBM Foundation took proactive steps to provide aid and support to those affected by these natural disasters. In collaboration with 18 committed volunteers from the FBM Foundation, the foundation carried out a relief operation to extend assistance to families in need.
Led by Pepe Costa, representative of the FBM Foundation, along with Glorime Lem Faustino, Mayor of Calumpit Bulacan, and Dave Braian Sambilay, Barangay Captain, the team diligently ensured that aid was distributed equitably to those who needed it most.
The FBM Foundation initiative "Tulong sa Pag-Sulong: Natural Disaster Relief Operation" strives to provide support, aid and optimism to communities affected by the impact of natural calamities. Its purpose is to ensure the safety, well-being and health of people during emergencies triggered by natural disasters.
"The main objective of the project is to provide immediate support to the victims of natural catastrophes, including typhoons, floods, earthquakes and similar weather-related phenomena," explains Vítor Francisco, Director of the FBM Foundation. The representative of the organization adds that "the objective of this project is to alleviate the burdens and challenges faced by affected communities through the implementation of relief operations, supplies and assistance during times of crisis."
The action that took place on August 18 in Brgy. San Miguel, Calumpit, Bulacan once again showed the power of community associations in times of crisis. Beyond the essential provisions, these actions brought hope during a difficult time to all involved.
